You have a choice of sleeping options from local Datmoor Inns to camping.
‘Never give your horse more attention than your wife, unless you like sleeping in the stable!’

The Castle Inn

Our accommodation is on a half board basis, usually at the ‘Castle Inn’, Lydford http://castleinnlydford.com/  and we use them first if they have room, however we have a selection of other local Inns we use.
The Dartmoor Inn https://dartmoorinn.com/ is very friendly with excellent food.
The Bearslake Inn https://www.bearslakeinn.com/ is an old Devon Longhouse with low cielings, great beer garden and excellent restaurant.
The Lydford House Hotel http://www.lydfordhouse.co.uk/ is also a favourite.

Breakfast will be at the Inn. Guests will travel to the farm each day. Lunch will either be at the farm or a packed lunch en-route.
Breakfast and lunch are all included in the package. We do not do an evening meal. Guests are free to make use of the Castle’s excellent restaurant or eat out elsewhere in the evening.

‘Shepherd hut Glamping’

For our ‘Dartmoor Cattle Drive’ and ‘Dartmoor Trails’  experiences we can offer an on farm ‘glamping’ option.
We have three ‘shepherd hut’ style accommodations. Each are very cosy, one has a double bed, one has two singles, one is a smaller single. All bed linen is supplied. Please bring your own towel.
Each has wood-burning stove (wood provided) table and chairs and seating. Outside there is a fire-pit with utensils etc for open air cooking.
There is also a hot camp shower, sink and compost loo next to the huts.
Guests also have use of our ‘western’ themed guest lodge with kitchen/diner/lounge/bathroom etc.
Breakfast and lunch is included.
We don’t provide an evening meal, guests can cook their own meals on the camp fire or eat out at one of many local eateries.

Getting to us

If you don’t want to bring a car, (you do not need one during your stay) we recccommend using the very reasonable train to Okehampton station, which is 10 mins from us.

We offer a free shuttle service from anywhere in Okehampton, train station, bus stop, hotel etc.
