Due to popular demand, we will be running a series of Western Experience Days throughout the summer on our superb Quarter horses.
These days are arena based, a maximum of 9 riders.

The day will start with breakfast in our authentic western style guest lodge, clients will meet the trainers as well as the other guests. We’ll then meet the horses, learn how to tack western and be shown your selected mount for the day.

After getting everyone mounted we’ll go through some basic drills and exercises to get everyone accustomed to their horse. We have a variety of Quarter horses to suit most riders.

 We’ll then introduce some cattle, to show how the horses react around the cattle and do some basic manouvers around the cattle.

Lunch will be provided in the guest lodge again or around the camp fire.

After lunch we’ll  practice cutting cattle, team penning and ranch sorting, depending on available time.

The day will end with tea and cakes around the camp fire (weather permitting)

You can also stay overnight in one of our lovely shepherd huts, with full use of our guest lodge with kitchen/diner/lounge/bathroom. More details on our ‘Accommodation’ page

We’ll even drop you off at the train station!

Not suitable for novice or beginner riders and we can’t take u18’s

Booking terms:
Non-refundable deposit of £100 with the balance due a month before the experience.
In the event of cancellation for any reason, any payments made can be used against another experience this year or next year.
